In cities such as Madrid, finding housing can be challenging. Therefore, in order to make sure of getting accommodation for the whole academic year, you should look online over 2 or 3 months beforehand.

If either you don’t find accommodation for whatever reason, or you decide to look for it once you arrive in Madrid, you should start your search 2/3 weeks before the beginning of the programme at the very latest.

You should also consider that renting in the outskirts of Madrid’s centre is cheaper and these areas are well connected with the city centre: by Metro (underground), Cercanías (train) and bus.
